My First Doll Quilt - Ticker Tape!

Sophi’s 5th birthday is this week.  I finished one of her presents and just couldn’t wait for the date - had to give it to her early.
I found this tutorial on Sew Mamma Sew for a ticker tape doll quilt and fell in love!  I knew immediately I had to make one for Sophia!
I have to say the process was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!  Especially since my dear hubby got me this wonderful WALKING FOOT for my sewing machine.  OH MY GOODNESS!  How did I ever sew without one?
If you are toying with the idea of getting one for yourself, can I just give you a nudge on over the edge?!?!  It is a marvelous creation - and makes for some marvelous creating!

This baby whips over quilting layers like a dream - no pulling or puckering!
LOVE IT!
If you do decide to get a walking foot and you have a Janome, here is a great tutorial about how to attach it to your machine.  (There aren’t instructions on the foot’s box.)
Sophia loves the little quilt.  She immediately put it to work warming up all her dolls!
Nothing like being wrapped up in “Mama’s” love and a snuggily quilt!
